I have to admit, that my computer is from time to time full of folders that are not needed anymore or simply that are empty and just clog the directories and confuse the hell out of me.
Until recently, I have been looking for these empty folders literally clicking from directory to directory and opening these folders and checking if they posses anything. However, recently I came across this very handy application that does exactly the same job for you in a matter of few clicks on the whole directories. This free and open source application Remove Empty Directories is IT to fight such problem.
However, I would avoid using this application on the entire drives since there are many applications you would not like to see dis-function just like that. Nevertheless, this application comes in very handy for your music or other media folders which is exactly the most common place where such empty folders could appear.
