‘Save’ The World By Sending An E-mail Into The Future

1 01 2008

Does it happen to you that you frequently forget about your friends’ birthdays, or simply forget about important dates? One of the way, if you use such things, is to set a reminder to your calendar event. If you do not run such thing than this may be pretty interesting for you. With FutureMe.org, you can send an e-mail today, but it shall be delivered on the day specified. The feature lets you to send an e-mail to your friends as well, but you have to register to do that. FutureMe.org is a fun way of how to send a letter even to yourself with the time span of a month, a year? It’s all your call, and when it comes then to you, you may just realize how were the things with you back then. Or simply let the future generations know about something…perhaps.

FutureMe.org is ‘based on the principle that memories are less accurate than emails.’

Personally, I could imagine using this feature to help create an illusion at work that I am hard working on stuff while sipping my orange juice on the beach, muahaha. It’s up to your imagination and curiosity.

I wish somebody /anybody/ came up with PastMe tool that would enable us to warn our ancestors…
