Get Rid Of The Automatic Updates

Windows is capable of pissing me of very often. The Automatic Updates are one of those most irritating moments, especially when one has s***loads of work to do and this dialog box won’t stop bothering. It is very easy to oversee this box when you are working on lots of stuff [too many windows opened] or you just ran away to get your orange juice cup , the possible damage I do not have to talk about.

I, being very spoilt user, would expect the system to download any update necessary quietly without bothering, and sit there until the next time I restart the system, or what?!

If you hate this [threatening] dialog bog , here is the quick fix. In the commad box type in the following:

sc stop wuauserv

P.S.: Don’t forget that some updates may be really important and will not become active unless manually restarted.

Mac-Like Window [Mini|Maxi|Close] Buttons

Recently, I came across very interesting software-Leftsider-that moves your window buttons [minimize|maximize/restore|close] from the right side [where we are all used to see them] to the left side, just like position of these buttons on Mac. It is not much of a change, but for Mac lovers, I bet this would solve this ‘little’ irritating problem, especially if you are running some kind of Mac theme for Windows, but it fails to move the positions of these buttons. It operates from a little icon in the taskbar, so that you can adjust the alignment anytime you wish. Enjoy. /XP and Vista 32bit/64bit versions available/
